Hi all, it’s great to see that the recent   storms have now abated and lucky for us here in West Kerry we got away lightly, although some mobile homes were destroyed in Ventry we escaped the major coastal Damage that had been inflicted on many parts of Ireland. In the South Kerry town of Rossbeigh, which was hammered by driving seas and suffered major coastal damage, what was surprising to see was that the high seas had washed up from the depths a 150 year old wooden schooner (the sunbeam) on to the beach. It has now become a major tourist attraction with visitors from all over Ireland arriving to view this magnificent ship on the beach. (pic via Journal.ie)
Also in the news recently was our own Fungi the Dingle dolphin after a photograph of him was awarded the photo of the year by the Irish Examiner national newspaper! (Pic via Irishexaminer.com)
